Taken up in tandem with fly fishing, this is currently an enigma. We don’t have a boat (time and inclination not available), so we fish from the shore. We have had a lot of success in catching mackerel, much to our delight as this is one of our favourite fish. Likewise pollack. Most fun to be had is when fly fishing for this species. Other species have largely eluded us to date, despite our best beach casting and baiting attempts. I am pretty sure this is a great place to sea fish from the shore; lots of potential marks indicate this. It is a rare thing, to see someone setting up sea fishing gear, so opportunities for local information are limited. In time, I do hope to progress beyond the two staple species, but it might be a slow burn.
