There are not many restaurants in Uists to review, and in any case, though there are a couple of good ones I frequent, it’s probably not a good idea in such a small community!
Much as North Uist is a great place to live, you do need to get off the island for a change of scene sometimes. When I do make an excursion to the mainland I always take the opportunity to eat at new places but often can’t resist visiting those places I am fond of – particularly for coffee as a good espresso is hard to find. Occasional reviews of places I have eaten, food related events, markets and coffee shops will feature now and then.
